Our story

The building came first. The kitchen gave it direction.

Kanon is the newest chapter at St. Halvards gate 33. Four moments that shaped the place.

1875

Onsumslottet made the address known for presence and scale in old Oslo.

1914

The current building took shape, anchoring the site in the Gamlebyen fabric.

2017

Gamlebyen Mat & Drikke brought food, events, and local hospitality back into the building.

Today

Kanon Catering leads the next chapter: a clearer venue and catering brand with the same culinary backbone.
